How it all Began

MIT professor and naval architect Jack Devanney had a radical idea—what if nuclear power plants could be built like ships, using the efficiency and scalability of modern shipyards?

Traditional nuclear plants are expensive, slow to build, and require specialized on-site construction, making them inaccessible to many regions that need them most.

By applying shipbuilding techniques, Jack realized he could dramatically cut costs, reduce deployment time from decades to just a few years, and make nuclear power truly scalable. This breakthrough insight became the foundation of Thorcon, setting the stage for a revolution in clean, affordable energy.
